Texture backgrounds using dye inks

Hello there, This is DT Priyadarshini here and am excited to share my new set of cards with everyone. For today, I have 3 cards with different backgrounds where I used items lying around at home to have some texture and details. I used bubble wrap, microfibre cloth and lace with some texture and details and used them as a stamp to create the background. For the cards, I used three stamp sets and one sentiment to go for all cards. Stamps set I used here are  Precious treasure ,  Bloom  and  Butterfly love .  Tubby Craft  has awesome  dye inks  that react with water which makes them perfect for watercolouring, inking, stenciling, stamping and more. These inks serve a lot of purpose and this post is all about how to stretch them and use them on other materials apart from stamps.  Card using Bubble wrap The first that popped in my mind when I thought about adding texture is bubble wrap. They work perfectly for any underwater card or just bac...

DIY Rakhi for kids! DT Anirudh

Hello crafty people! Hope your week is up to a good start... Rakshabandhan is just around the corner and so, I've got a video tutorial for easy peasy DIY Rakhi for kiddos. It looks absolutely delightful and is super easy to make, click on the link below to watch the video tutorial, DIY RAKHI FOR KIDS Have a look at the Rakhis, These are so easy to make... I started by stamping cute images from various stamp sets with Jet Black dye ink onto white cardstock, colored them using copics, and then fussy cut them out. I always use a black marker to give a nice finishing to the edges of the pieces. Then, I laminated these and then cut them again, leaving a good margin across the image so the seal doesn't open up. Then I simply took a fancy cord/lace and hot glued the images over it. To prevent the glue from scratching the delicate wrists, I glued small pieces of felt, reinforcing the glued image. And our Rakhi is done in no time at all. You can simply switch kid-friendly images with fl...
