CAS cards with dry embossing technique

 Hello and a very happy Diwali everyone. With the increasing trend of clean and simple cards, I, Anirudh, DT member, bring to you all two easy and beautiful cards that feature the dry embossing technique.  So let's start! THE TECHNIQUE  Dry embossing with stencils gives a subtle look to any project. For this, use this sandwich and run it through your machine; from below upwards, clear plate - embossing plate - embossing pad - paper - stencil - clear plate. You may need to add additional shims for deeper emboss looks. CARD 1 I started with a white card panel and dry embossed using zig-zag stencil. Then I used the Diwali greetings stamp to do some no-line watercoloring of the diya image with zig markers and fussy cut it out. Then I simply attached that to a red shaped die-cut and that over the embossed panel. For the sentiment, I used Chinese Blue dye ink. Lastly, I added this to a white card base. Shaker and embossed diwali cards

Hello friends, As the festival of Deepavali is soon approaching, I am glad to join you all on Tubby craft blog with some Diwali cards. Here is my first one with some close up pictures.  Scroll down to know the procedure and the materials used for this card Procedure: 1. I have used orange, yellow and white color cardstock for this card. The top one is white where I have done ink blending using Tubby craft dye inks Imperial red, lemon yellow and Tangy orange. 2. After ink blending, I have heat embossed small hanging diyas from Tubby Craft Diwali greetings stamp set with gold embossing powder. 3. Next I made a shaker element and used sentiment from Diwali Ganesha stamp set which is stamped with Black dye ink from Tubby craft. 4. I have attached red sparkle paper on the shaker element and filled some gold beads inside.The same gold beads have been used on sides to embellish the card. 5.
