Women's day cards l DT Priyadarshini

Hello everyone This is DT Priyadarshini here and today I will be sharing 2 cards for International women's day. I found a beautiful quote online about how strong women raises other women instead of tearing them down. With this being said, let's dive into the two cards I have to share today.  Card 1 My first card is a simple one using Bloom stamp set, Dot illusion stencil and sentiment from Special day greetings stamp set.  I stamped the image on white cardstock and coloured it with pencils.  I stamped the image again on masking paper so I can stencil around the image. I added the masking paper and used dot illusion stencil and used Lavender violet ink to stencil.  Using Jet black ink, I added the sentiment and some pearls to finish the card.  Card 2 This is a super fun card I made and I used Vintage wishes stamp set, Aqua blue ink for the sky and sentiment from Bloom.  I stamped the girl from the stamp set and coloured her. For the background,...

'Plumeria' floral Valentine cards

Hello there, This is DT Priyadarshini here today and I am happy to be back on  Tubby Craft  blog and this time I am using  Plumeria florals  stamp set. I wanted to use it for a while and finally I was able to do it and now this has become my all time favourite floral stamp set. I love the floral here and the opportunity I get to practice colouring is brilliant. I made 3 cards for today and I had to make the tough decision to stop making cards with this stamp.   Card 1 This is my first card using Plumeria and I did some masking to make this card.  I stamped the image first on one corner of the white cardstock and stamped the same on masking paper. I masked the stamped part and stamped the image again on the other side.  I masked both the florals and inked using  Light pink  ink. I removed the masking paper and coloured the images.  Since Tubby dye inks react to water, I dabbed some jet black ink on an acrylic block and added so...

Texture backgrounds using dye inks

Hello there, This is DT Priyadarshini here and am excited to share my new set of cards with everyone. For today, I have 3 cards with different backgrounds where I used items lying around at home to have some texture and details. I used bubble wrap, microfibre cloth and lace with some texture and details and used them as a stamp to create the background. For the cards, I used three stamp sets and one sentiment to go for all cards. Stamps set I used here are  Precious treasure ,  Bloom  and  Butterfly love .  Tubby Craft  has awesome  dye inks  that react with water which makes them perfect for watercolouring, inking, stenciling, stamping and more. These inks serve a lot of purpose and this post is all about how to stretch them and use them on other materials apart from stamps.  Card using Bubble wrap The first that popped in my mind when I thought about adding texture is bubble wrap. They work perfectly for any underwater card or just bac...

Janmashtami special monochromatic cards I DT Anirudh

Hathi ghoda paalki, Jai kanhaiya laal ki! Hello everyone and a very happy Janmashtami. Janmashtami is one of my fav festivals, and so, I thought of making a card to celebrate the occasion, but I came up with two ideas coz these monochromatic cards are super quick to make! Here are today's projects; CARD 1 For this card, I started by stamping the main image from the Krishna stamp set onto white cardstock using Lavender Violet tubby dye ink and then fussy cut it out. Then I stamped the greeting onto a white strip with the same ink and then cut it as a banner. For the base, I chose a purple card base and then added a few diagonal layers and a silver mirror cardstock swirl die cut for some interest. Now, I simply foam taped the image and the sentiments and our card is done! Have a closer look at the card; CARD 2 This card is also very easy to make,  Start by taking a white A2 card panel and stamp the phrase onto it with Lavender Violet tubby dye ink to create a background. Also s...
