Janmashtami cards

Hello everyone This is DT Priyadarshini here today and we are celebrating Janmashtmi today and I decided to share a couple of cards I made for the occasion.  CARD 1 To start with, I stamped the image on watercolour paper using  Lead grey ink .  I coloured using  Chocolate brown ,  Emerald green ,  Tangy orange ,  Lilac purple  dye inks. I fuzzy cut the image and kept it aside. I took a top fold note card and added a black cardstock. I took another piece of white card and stenciled using peacock feathers stencil with  Aqua blue  dye ink.  Added the stenciled piece and a vellum sheet to the base and added the image and sentiment to finish the card.  CARD 2 For my next card, I used only the stencil and sentiment from the stamp set.  I used Lead grey dye ink to first stencil on white card stock. I separately stenciled one feather using Aqua blue ink and highlighted using colour pencils.  I fuzzy cut the feather and added ...

Fragnance of Love - Valentine cards

Hello there, This is DT Priyadarshini here today with another post where I am sharing 2 cards made using Love Roses.  "Every rose that is sweet - scented within, That rose is telling a secret. With this beautiful quote, let me start sharing the cards made for Valentine's day using Love Roses and Brick stencil. This is a beautiful stamp set with a sentiment that can be used for all occasions.  For myfirst card, I used brick stencil and crcakle paste to give some texture to the background. While the paste was drying, I die cut layered heart dies and stamped the roses and leaves. After colouring the flowers and leaves, I fuzzy cut them and kept them aside. I added the die cut to the brick background. I kept the brick background white so the focus is on the roses. I started stacking up the roses and leaves and finished with th...

Sea shells - Mixed media canvas using tubby ink pads

Hi there This is design team member Priyadarshini here with my first project this year. Before we start I would like to wish everyone a very Happy new year from Tubby team and me.  Tubby inks are so versatile that we can use them for mixed media projects too apart from ink blending, watercolouring. I love to experiment a lot and I decided to use Tubby ink pads and make a mixed media project. For this I used Tubby ink pads and stencils along with Gesso and texture paste.  I had fun making this project and below is a video tutorial and pictures.  I coated the canvas using white gesso and after it dried I stenciled the canvas using Scallop cloud and mixed media paste. I invertes this stencil, so I get a wave kind a design.  After this layer is dry, I used crackle paste and Crack it stencil  and let it dry. I started adding up embellishments like gauze, broken pieces of card, shell moulds and chippies I had in my stash.  For more texture, I added sand text...

Diwali theme Layout - DT Priyadarshini

Hi there This is design team member Priyadarshini here. Let me start by wishing everyone a happy and safe Diwali.  Festive season is here and I am with Diwali  theme project. Its super easy and fun to make.   I have a different project this time using stamps, inks and stencils from Tubby Craft. I have used the stamps as embellishments here and the ink pads to create a water colour background. Instead of using texture, I used stencils to create patterns along with some die cuts and burlap.  I applied a coat of clear gesso on white cardstock and dried with heat tool Using ink pads, I created a water colour background. I dabbed the ink pad onto an acrylic block and mixed with little water and used a flat paint brush to apply on the card stock.  I used Foliage 1, peacock feathers and Moroccan tiles stencils to do the stenciling layer.  I used Diwali wishes, Buttercup and Floral invitaion  stamps to make my own embellishments. I used some lace dies and...
