One Stamp | Two Ways - Watercolour With Tasha

Hey crafty people!

Tasha here with some watercolour inspiration two ways with Tubby Craft's gorgeous Manika stamp set!

Over on Tubby Craft's Youtube channel I'll show you how to get two completely different looks with the same basic supplies and we can have a crafty chat & giggle!

Head over there now!

Card Number 1

Quick & easy way to get a water colored look!

1. I laid down some colour using watercolour brush markers in various shades of blue on a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock, then smoothed this out with a wet paint brush.

You need to leave this to dry completely before moving onto the next step.

2. I embossed the Manika stamp using superfine grade embossing powder. I used superfine because these are very thin lines which could easily be overwhelmed by thicker embossing powder.

3. I added a die cut hello, which I also embossed with the same powder.

Card Number 2

1. I started by embossing the stamp onto a piece of watercolour card using superfine black embossing powder.

2. I added pigment into the darkest areas of shadow first, then cleaned my brush and drew this pigment out using clean, clear water.

3. The embossed lines help so much with control when watercolouring, because they keep the water in the section where you want it to be; since the paint will flow where the water is this is a great way to begin experimenting with this technique!

4. Work in layers! But make sure the area is completely dry before you reapply paint onto it to avoid the paint leaving strange 'tide marks' when it's dried.

5. I added the same die cut hello but this time embossed with the same black embossing powder.

I hope this inspires you to try experimenting with watercolour! Please don't forget to tag Tubby Craft and myself in when you post your creations, we love to see what you've been making!

Tubby Craft - Penguin Love - Birthday Cards by Deepti

Hello Everyone, I'm stopping by to share two birthday cards using cute Tubby Craft stamp called "Penguin Love" and "Birthday Wishes". I have used Masking technique to make both the cards. Card 1 To make this card, I die cut out the white card stock and stamped the penguins by masking them using Black tubby craft ink. Once satisfied, I stamped the balloons too and colored all these images using alcohol markers. After that I stamped the sentiment on white strip and adhered the same using foam tape along with washi tape. Glued it on Pista green card stock. Finally added some clear sequins to complete it. Here is my second card using same stamp set.. For this card also, I die cut out white card stock . Then I stamped the image and masked it to ink the background. After that I stamped the balloons and the sentiment. Added stamped and fussy cut gift too.  Finally adhered it on matching note card and added some matching s...
