Hello Everyone,
I am very excited to be a part of the Tubby craft design team.
I hope to inspire you guys with my projects throughout my DT journey.
Sharing my first blog post where I teach you how to make these 2 beautiful and colorful floral cards.
Card 1:
I love creating my own backgrounds using watercolors for a card and in this card too I have done the same.
It’s very easy and you don’t have to rely on many supplies.
Sharing the step-by-step process:
1. I created a card base of size 4”*6” using a Textured cold-pressed Watercolor paper.
2. Took a flat watercolor brush of size 10 and painted parallel lines using Turquoise blue Watercolor. You can use any color you want.
3. Once the paper dries, I hand drew a thin black border across the edges.
4. I then stamped the wildflowers image from Tubby craft Bright day stamp set onto a watercolor paper using some waterproof ink.
5. I colored it using watercolors. I stamped the image 4 times and colored all of them.
6. Then I fussy cut all the images.
7. I then cut a thin strip of watercolor paper and color it using the same color that I used in the background.
8. I then heat embossed the sentiment ‘You Brighten Up My day’ using some versamark ink and white embossing powder onto the thin stip.
9. I arrange all the previously cut flower images in the centre of the card in a bouquet form and stick them with some glue.
10. Put some thin foam tape strip at the back of the card and stuck it horizontally near the stem of the flowers.
11. Finished the card using some Nuvo drops and it's done. 😊
Card 2:
Using stencils to create quick backgrounds is one of my favourite techniques.
Sharing the step-by-step process of this cute and colorful card.
1. Take white cardstock and cut it slightly smaller than 4”*5.5” in size.
2. I used TCS stencil 19 to create heart-shaped patterns on the top and bottom of the card using a finger dauber. I used Tubby craft Hot pink and Turquoise inks.
3. Then I created some splatters in the cards using some red and blue watercolor.
4. I stamped the floral pattern from Tubby craft ‘Plumeria florals’ stamp set onto a watercolor paper using some waterproof ink.
5. Then I colored it using watercolors and to finish the flowers I spattered some gold watercolor paint.
6. I then fussy cut the floral image.
7. Then I heat embossed the sentiment ‘You Brighten Up My day’ using some versamark ink and white embossing powder onto the thin black strip.
8. Once all the elements are dried, I stick the using some glue and foam tape onto the card front.
9. Then I die cut a card base using a stitched rectangle die of size 4”*5.5” and stick the card front onto it.
10. Our card is completed now.
I hope you guys liked the tutorial.
Keep crafting!!
