Hello everyone,
This is Hussena here, and I am so happy to guest design this month again at the Tubby Craft blog! I blog at Quill and Punch Works and you can find me on social media here:
Today, I am sharing two envelopes I made using different stamp sets from Tubby Craft. I shared some tags and a card last time and thought it would be nice to work on something different this month, and hence I decided to create money/shagun envelopes for my guest design post. I really enjoyed making them, and hope you will like the idea too. Here's a look at what I have created:
I made these envelopes primarily using two sets - Buttercup and Lift Up Balloon. These sets have some beautiful floral images in them, and as you know, I am a big sucker for all things florals! I was pretty excited to work with these two sets for my post.
I will talk about each envelope in detail one by one. Let's start with the first one!
I used the Buttercup set for the main floral bunch. I stamped them using Tubby Craft Jet Black Dye ink, on a very light colour pattern paper and paper pieced them, and coloured the centres using Zig Clean Color Brush pens. The leaves and foliage are also from the same set, and were coloured also using Zigs.
To accentuate my envelope, I stamped the big floral cluster from the Lift Up Balloon set using grey dye ink on both sides of my envelope.
I also added an oval die-cut piece to complete my envelope. I love the dimension of the flowers. What do you think?
The second envelope I made today has loads of fussy-cutting and colouring on it. I really hope and wish that Tubby Craft soon comes out with coordinating dies for their stamps :) Here's a look at my envelope:
I used the Lift Up Balloon set for this particular envie. I stamped the image using Tubby Craft Jet Black dye ink on white cardstock, coloured it using my Zig markers again, and then fussy-cut it out. I definitely think I could have done a better job at colouring it, but I'm happy with the design and wanted to share it with you all. The little butterfly is also a part of the same set.
I was looking for a sentiment for my envie, and decided to go with the sentiment from the Fancy Sentiments set. I think the font is really elegant, and the size is really good! I distressed the edges of the banner to make it blend in with the background pattern paper. And my envelope was complete.
Here are the supplies I used for my today's post.
1. Buttercup Stamp Set
2. Lift Up Balloon Stamp Set
3. Totally Sentiments Stamp Set
4. Jet Black Dye Ink Pad
I hope you like my envelopes. If you have any queries/questions regarding any of the supplies or techniques used, please feel free to leave a comment below. I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
I would like to thank Shruti, and the Tubby Craft team for inviting me to guest design for them. I hope I could inspire you with my creations :)
Thank you so much for stopping by!
