Hello Crafty Friends,
Dhruvika Here!! I hope all of you are having a great time and enjoying the inspirations from other design team members.
Today I am up on the Tubby Craft Channel sharing 3 different ways to use the small stamp sets that accompany a big stamp set. All the big stamp sets come along wit the small stamps which generally go neglected or are used as a filler. But why not make the most of all the elements of your stamp set and create different cards.
So to begin with, I shall be using just one stamp called the Tubby Craft Bright Day Stamp set and would only be using the small stamps of this 4x6 inch stamp set. Yes, we are not going to use the bigger ones at all.
My first card is a silhouette card that involves a lot of ink blending. So lets have a look at the card first.
To create this card, I used Lemon Yellow, Tangy Orange and Light Pink Dye Ink pads from Tubby Craft and a 4.25x5.5 inch top folding white note card.
Using the blending brushes I started to ink blend with yellow on the top, coming in with orange in the centre and light pink to the bottom. I switched between all the colors to achieve the smooth blending. Once I was satisfied with the panel, I kept it aside for a few minutes to dry.
Then using all the silhouette stamps, in the stamp set, I stamped in the centre where all three inks blend using the jet black dye ink by Tubby craft. The stamping is random to give a look of the fields lurching in the fall breeze.
Once the stamping was done, I pasted two scalloped die cut panels on the top and the bottom so that the whole focus was on the ink blended background and the silhouette stamping. To complete the card, I stamped the sentiments THANKS from the same stamp set. And it is done.
My second card is a panel card. Let's have a look first.
I used 3 panel measuring 3.5 x 1.5 inches from the white cardstock and Tubby Dye Inks in Turquoise, Lemon yellow, Tangy Orange, Hot Pink and Lawn Green.
I used the small florals from the stamp set and inked carefully such that the florals were inked in hot pink and the stems were inked with lawn green; and stamped on one of the panels. I colored very lightly using the Tubby Craft Hot Pink Dye Ink.
For the second panel, I used the silhouette stamp which was inked with Turquoise Dye Ink and Stamps were inked with Lawn Green Tubby Dye Ink. I extended with the stems using the Lawn Green stamp with a free hand paint brush.
And for the last panel, I used the smallest of all the silhouette flower stamps and inked with Lemon yellow, Tangy Orange and Hot Pink Dye Inks and drew the stems using the Lawn Green Dye Ink.
I then die cut the panels using the zig zag die punch and adhered to the Kraft card-stock measuring 4.25x5.5 side folding note card.
To complete the card, stamped the sentiments from the same stamp set called the YOU BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY.
And my third card, is a clean and simple card which uses only the leaves stamps from the Bright Day stamp set. I used a 4.25x.5.5side folding ivory card-stock and Tubby Crafts Olive Green and Lawn Green Dye Ink Pads. Lets have a look at the card first.
To begin with I freely hand drew a template using the Tubby craft Olive Green Dye Ink Pads. This will be a guide for stamping the leaves. We shall keep it simple by only using the left portion of the card.
I stamped the leaves using the Olive Green Dye Ink randomly and then using the smallest silhouette leave I filled them in between the larger leaves using the Lawn Green Dye Ink. Once I was satisfied with the coverage, I colored the larger leaves with a mix of Lemon Yellow and Lawn Green Inks.
I added the die cut sentiment HELLO from a pink glitter paper to add a little zing and THINKING OF YOU which was stamped on the ivory cardstock, backed with a green cardstock. I then decided to add a little frame from of green color to highlight the card.
