Dye inks on texture medium

Hello,

This is Priyadarshini here today. Please stay home and stay safe.

I have a simple video tutorial here for Tubby craft and my focal point is using dye inks. These dye inks are water based and they work brilliantly with water. They have a vibrant and beautiful look when applied to paper. If you are using layered stamps, just dry every layer before stamping the next. The look these inks give for layered stamps are excellent.

Materials used:

1. Stamp
     a. Floral invitation
     b. Special day greetings
2. Inks
3. Texture paste
4. White cardstock
5. Colour pencils
6. Gem stones
7. Stencils
    a. Royal damask
    b. Leafy
8. Inks used in this video: Lawn green, Emerald green, Raspberry, Magenta

For this card, I used smooth texture paste which gives a shiny and smooth look once dried. I used lawn green and emerald green for the leafy stencil.

I used grainy texture paste for this card and it gives a rough and not shiny look after it dries. For this card,I did water colouring technique on the pattern. I dabbed some ink on my work surface and spritzed water on the card and applied ink using my paint brush.

Encouragement cards by Swati

Hi Guys,

I have 2 fun and adorable cards for you guys today.
I made those on account of International Women’s Day that was on 8th March.

Sharing the step-by-step tutorial to make these fun and colourful cards. Gift these cards to someone and light up there day! :)

Card 1:

1. Cut a card base in the shape of a tag using any white 300GSM card stock. I have used a Sizzix Tag die here.
2. Using some paper tape I masked the edges of the tag and then placed Tubby craft stencil no.18 on top of it.
I used finger dauber to colour the flowers in the stencil.
I have used Tubby craft inks in color Lawn Green, Turquoise, Hot pink, Lemon Yellow, Lilac Purple and Imperial Red.
3. Once the inks dry, I used some Black Tonic Studio Nuvo drop to add a dot in the centre of each flower.
4. Then I stamp the floral image from Tubby craft Floral Invitation stamp set on to a Watercolor paper using some waterproof ink.
5. I coloured the stamped image using some Watercolor and then fussy cut it.
6. To stamp my sentiment, I used some Watercolor and create a gradient background and then cut a small piece in Oval shape. I also used 2 oval dies to cut out a small border from a blue cardstock.
7. I then stamped the Sentiment “Don’t forget to be awesome” from Tubby craft Camelia Layered Flower on the Watercolor oval shape that we have cut earlier.
8.Now It’s time to assemble the card.
9. I use some glue to stick the floral image on the top left corner and the used a foam tape to stick the stamped sentiment oval cardstock.
10. I then tied a string to the tag and finished the card.

Card 2:

Alcohol inks are my favourite medium to work with. They can be used in so many ways on your projects.

Sharing step-by-step tutorial of one such card I made using Beyond Inks Alcohol inks.

1. Create a card base of size 4”*5.5” using a white cardstock.
2. To create the card front, cut a Yupo paper (300 Micron) in size 3.75”*5.25”.
3. Using Beyond ink alcohol ink in Sky and Lime colour to create an Ocean themed background. Used some Blending solution to create the bubbles in the background.
4.  I then used an oval die to to cut out a centre. Then I used one size small oval die and trimmed the die cut piece to make it smaller.
5. I stamped the Pearl image from Tubby craft ‘Precious Treasure’ stamp set using some Embossing ink on to a Watercolor paper. I used Sparkle Embossing powder and heat embossed the image.
6. I did the same heat embossing procedure with the Star fish image from the same stamp set.
7. Then I coloured both the images using some Shimmer Watercolor and then fussy cut them.
8. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of Watercolor paper using Tubby craft black ink.
9. It’s time to assemble the card now.
10. I glued the centre oval piece on the card base and then used foam tape to stick the rest of the card front.
11. I used globe to stick the fussy cut images and sentiment on the card then.
12. To finish the card I used some clear Nuvo drops as if they were bubbles. Here is a close image.

I hope you enjoyed the cards and the tutorial.

Spring is here!!!

Hello Everyone,

Spring is here!!!....So, I thought of sharing flower cards with you. I hope you get inspired :)

Over to my card..

To make this card, I  die cut the watercolor card stock and inked the background using Brushos (crystal colors) and splattered it with same colors and let it dry. Then, I stamped the leaves using same color. Meanwhile, I stamped the flowers using Buttercup stamp set , colored and fussy cut it.

Adhered these fussy cut flowers on the card stock using foam tape. Added the die cut sentiment and some sequins to compete it.

Here is my second card..

For this card, I stamped the flowers and leaves using  Floral Peony stamp set and fussy cut it. Then, I ink smooshed it using red, orange, pink and purple tubby craft inks.

Once satisfied, I adhered these flowers and leaves on the card stock which I stenciled using tubby craft dots stencil.

Finally, added the die cut sentiment along with some silver sequins to complete it

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Butterfly cards

Hello

Welcome back. This is design team member Priyadarshini

I have 3 cards using one stamp from Tubby craft. The stamp I selected for the main focus is Butterfly love. This is a beautiful stamp where there is a butterfly image and a wonderful sentiment. Along with this image I used Special day greetings and Tags pattern stamp set which has an amazing range of tags that can be stamped and used. I also used 2 stencils in these cards, one is Checkered and the other is Butterfly.

Inks used for these cards are Jet blackLawn greenEmerald greenAqua blueChinese blueChocolate brown

Card 1

To make this card, I stamped the butterfly thrice on kraft cradstock  and coloured with pencils. I made a gate fold card so I stenciled the butterfly stencil on kraft cardstock and trimmed it down to the front size. The stencil has beautiful intricate design so I used Chocolate brown ink. I added double sided adhesive and added two butterflies to one side and one on the other.

Card 2

For this card, I used tags pattern stamp and stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock repeatedly using chocolate brown ink. I coloured the tag image and added it to the stamped base using double sided adhesive and then the butterfly.

Card 3

For my last card, I used Checkered stencil and used aqua blue, chinese blue, lawn green, emerald green. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the card and added the butterfly.
