Over to Anirudh ....
Hello and a very warm welcome to The Tubby Craft Blog.
Myself Anirudh and I'm super excited to meet you all as I blog for the first time as a DT Member of Tubby Craft!
Today I have two fun interactive cards featuring the latest release of September.
So, without further ado, let's have a look at both the cards.
CARD ONE
For the first card, I began with an 8.5x11" sheet of blue cardstock and cut it in half from the longer side.
With the first piece, I again folded it in half and trimmed 1/2" from one of the two flaps.
The second piece was scored at 1/2", 4 1/4" and 4 3/4".
The flap adjacent to the 1/2" score line was used to create a window, and then the back flap was covered with pattern paper. The other piece, with one shorter flap, was then glued to this decorated flap.
Now comes the fun part, decorating!
For the elements, I used the Baby Boy stamp set and colored using copics. Then I fussy cut them and adhered them impactfully. The sentiment was stamped first with Aqua blue dye ink and then offset stamped with Jet black dye ink to create a highlight effect.
For the front of the card, I chose the sentiment and added a little butterfly from the Fancy Sentiments stamp and finished the card.
Here's the final card,
Moving on, I have the second card for you.
CARD TWO
I made the second card following the trending Slimline cards.
Have a look at the card,
The measurements differ only by the reduced width of the card to 3 5/8"
For the back panel, I used my fav Scallop cloud stencil and Aqua blue dye ink.
And for the elements, I used this cute stamp from the September release Bird get well soon and copic colored them. Then I fussy cut them and placed the birds and the flowers in an appealing way! and the quirky sentiment was stamped using Imperial red dye ink.
As with the previous card, I kept the front subtle and stamped a sweet sentiment from the stamp set with the Jet black dye ink.
And here's a final look towards the card
I hope these two inspire you to get crafting straight away!
And until then, b-bye!
